The Region 2000 Technology Council is a partner in a new statewide industry internship initiative that can directly address your science, technology and engineering workforce needs and help to enhance your future STEM workforce. The program is the Commonwealth STEM Industry Internship Program (CSIIP).
Using a centralized web-based system, this free program offers your company the opportunity to enter company information and anticipated internships for summer 2013. This same website allows students from all accredited Virginia universities, colleges and community colleges to submit complete internship application packages. Participating companies will be given access to this searchable applicant pool that they can use in making selections for direct hire by the company. There is also no charge for students to participate in CSIIP.
The Commonwealth STEM Industry Internship Program is a service provided by the Virginia Space Grant Consortium and is funded by the Commonwealth of Virginia.
We encourage you to visit the CSIIP website to learn more and to become a company partner: http://csiip.spacegrant.org. After you register and enter your internship opportunities, click on the “Internship Search” icon on your company’s CSIIP portal to see how your internship opportunities will be displayed to students searching for internships in various technology council-mapped geographic areas.
We will be monitoring the CSIIP website for company registrations and internship postings for our Tech Council region. We hope you will seriously consider this outstanding opportunity and participate such that Region 2000 Technology Council members will be well represented as a program partner.
